With this volume the Editors take leave of their readers, and of their editorial duties.

The sale of the Magazine not having, at any period, met the cost of paper and print, the Managers of the London Female Mission have, after an experiment of eight years, felt it to be their duty to announce the discontinuance of their publication.

In taking leave of their labours, it is a source of great consolation to the Editors to know that their little Magazine has been useful to the cause of humanity and benevolence,—that it has been instrumental in exciting christian sympathy and christian exertion in the behalf of the domestic servant, the orphan, and the outcast,—and that various benevolent Institutions have arisen from its labors.
