First, There is Emphatick Hafte.

Secondly, It refers alfo to what follows, as, The Lord commanded us. And on this account a major of the fecond Order is put in place of the firft. Ex gr. for in Gen. 48. 17. Ex. 10. 23. And a major of the third Order, for Judg. 7. 13.

A Fourth Canon is, when a Minifter is put in the fourth or fifth, viz. the major's place, Gen. 8. 10. He took the fon of a cow, tender and good,

A Fifth Canon affects Figuratively Canon 2. when a major is in the place of the minor.

A Sixth Canon on the fourth or fifth Word before an Abfolute Lord, where the Word requires a minor, a Minifter is Emphatick.

Merca is for אשר אתה בא עליה 12 34 .Exod

Tibbir. So Deut. 2. 34. Only the cattle we took for a prey unto our felves has Merca in place of Tibbir, and this is very common in the 1 Kings 20. 40. ' Pfal. 38. 5.
