This is not a review but a statement as I am in possession of William Howell and Rebecca T Howell's deed of 1861 sold to one john Craig 1861. The parcel was sold for approx. $500.00. The deed does state he was a Manufacturer of Paper Hangings.I would give more in depth details but I am sure you know that the handling of these old deeds can be difficult and will also cause any further damage. I just thought you might like to know what went on during 1861 with the Howell Family. All signatures on deed.

This is one of the most wonderful source books for Philadephia early history. Full of anecdotal details, engravings, with a great index that picks up the names of prominent local persons, taverns, etc. Google, please digitize the first two volumes!
