The Laboratories are open from 9.30 to 5.30 daily, and provide a comp course of training in the theory and practice of Statistics.

Instruction is given in the exhibition, calculation (mechanical arithmetical), and treatment of statistical quantities.

Advanced students will be assisted in research work suited to t stage of progress.

Short Courses are provided for those engaged in social, medica anthropometric work of a statistical character.

Professor Karl Pearson will meet intending students on Mon. September 30, between 10 and 1 p.m., and 4 and 6 p.m.

The first term of the University is intended to begin on the second Tuesday in March, 1913, but the Lecturer should be on duty, if possible, by January 1, 1912 Reasonable travelling expenses will be paid, but these shall not exceed the Lecturer's first-class fare, with an addition of 20 per cent. Applications, in duplicate, must reach the Agent-General, London, or Chancellor of the University, Perth, Western Australia, not later than October 15, 1912. Each applicant must state his age, supply full particulars as to his educa tion, degrees, teaching experience, and general qualifications, furnish certified copies of his certificates and testimonials, and forward a medical certificate certifying to his physical fitness.
