towards heaven and prayed to God. He then cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" No sooner had the words passed his lips than, to the surprise and joy, and wonder of all present, the poor dead Lazarus came forth from his grave, alive and well again. Oh, my child! what a delight it must have been to his sisters to see once more their own dear brother, whom they so fondly loved-and how full of joy must

all the people who came to share in their grief, have been when they saw them so happy. Many who had not loved our blessed Saviour before, now began to love him. Many, who would never before believe that he could work such wonderful miracles, now believed. And many, I have no doubt, are at this moment praising him in heaven, for all his kindness and his love to them on earth.

Among them are Martha,

and Mary, and Lazarus.

W. Mamma, can you tell me any thing more about Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus?

Mamma. Yes: I can tell you one little story, my love, which will, I think, please you.
