This Journal is unique. In the department of Theological Literature there is nothing of the same kind. It is the clergyman and minister's own book. It exists for their benefit; and, through their agency, it is hoped that it will diffuse light and love through millions of minds. It is not a thought-saving, but a thought-suggesting book. It embodies the original thoughts of some of the greatest minds of the age. It consists of thirty-two pages, and each number is thus arranged:

1. ORIGINAL SKETCHES OF SERMONS AND LECTURES.-Each num. ber contains eight of these, two for each Sunday. Some are concise, limited to divisions and sub-divisions; but some are comprehensive and extended. They afford specimens of the different styles of sermonising, and harmonise in sentiment with the principles of the Protestant Reformation.

2. BIBLICAL EXEGESIS, or a critical examination of the most difficult portions of the Bible. Biblical scholars of great eminence fur
