CHA P. XXXV.

The ARGUMENT.

The People are commanded to reft on the Sabbath-day. Free-will Offerings for the Tabernacle to be received. Both Men and Women offer Materials. Bezaleel and Aholiab chofen for the work.

I. ND Mofes gathered all the congregation of the children of Ifrael together, and Jaid unto them, -Thefe are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye fhould do them.

2. Six days fhall work be done, but on the feventh day there fhall be to you an holy day, a fabbath of reft to the LORD whosoever doth work therein, fhall be put to death.

3. Te fhall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the fab bath-day.

4. And Mofes fpake unto all the congregation of the children of Ifrael, faying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, faying,

5. Take ye from amongst you an offering unto the LORD: Whofoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD gold, and filver, and brass,

9. And onyx-ftones, and stones to be fet, for the ephod, and for the breaft-plate.

10. And every wife-hearted among you, fhall come and make all that the LORD hath commanded ;

21. And they came, every one whofe heart stirred him up, and every one whom his fpirit made willing, and they brought the LORD's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his fervice, and for the holy garments.

22. And they came both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought bracelets, and ear-rings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered, offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.

23. And every man with whom was found blue, and purple, and Scarlet, and fine linen, and goat's-hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers skins, brought them.

24. Every one that did offer an offering of filver and brafs, brought the LORD's offering and every man with whom was found fhittim-wood for any work of the fervice, brought it.

25. And all the women that were wife-hearted, did Spin with their bands, and brought that which they had fpun, both of blue, and of purple, and of Scarlet, and of fine linen.

26. And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom, fpun goat's-hair.

27. And the rulers brought onyx-ftones, and ftones to be fet, for the ephod, and for the breaft-plate:

29. The children of Ifrael brought a willing-offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whofe heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD bad commanded to be made, by the hand of Mofes.

20. And Mofes faid unto the children of Ifrael, See, the LORD bath called by name Bezaleel the fon of Uri, the fon of Hur, of the tribe of Judah:

31. And be hath filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

32. And to devife curious works, to work in gold, and in filver, and in brass,

33. And in the cutting of ftones to fet them, and in carving of wood to make any manner of cunning work.

34. And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he and Aboliab the son of Abifamach of the tribe of

Dan.

35. Them hath be filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in fcarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devife canning work.

The ARGUMENT.

Mofes delivers the Offerings brought by the People to the Workmen. The People are reftrained from any farther. Offerings. The Curtains with Cherubims are made, and thofe of Goat's-hair. The Boards and Bars are prepared; as alfo the Veil and Hanging.

2. And Mofes called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wife-hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whofe heart ftirred him up to

come unto the work to do it.

3. And they received of Mofes all the offering, which the children of Ifrael had brought, for the work of the Service of the fanctuary, to make it withall. And they brought yet unto him free-offerings every morning.

4. And all the wife men that wrought all the work of the fanctuary, came every man from his work which they made.

5. And they spake unto Mofes, Saying, The people bring much more then enough for the fervice of the work which the LORD command ed to make.
