This work exhibits the results of the labours of the French Savants attached to Napoleon's celebrated expedition; nothing fport of an Imperial treasury could have defrayed the cost of producing this magnificent work, which must ever be confidered as one of the greatest works of the Empire, and the most glorious monument of Napoleon's patronage of the Fine Arts.
