Guizot, now one of the principal Ministers of State to the King of France; and for a long time, the popular and powerful Lecturer on History, whose reputation drew many to Paris from different parts of Europe, to listen to the political wisdom which his uncommon talents and learning made so attractive and simple. Mad. Guizot has been hardly less distinguished in the department she chose for herself, than her husband has been as a Statesman.
