HE queen was no fooner informed of the victory, 1602. but the fent thirty thousand pounds to Portfmouth,

to be diftributed among the failors; ordered medals A dekent to be ftruck for tokens of honour to the officers, projected and caused the bodies of admiral Carter and colonel Haftings into France. to be honourably interred.
