Or COLLECT. Deus omnium.

God, the paftor and governor of all the faithful, look down in thy mercy on thy fervant N. whom thou haft appointed Paftor over thy Church: and grant, we befeech thee, that, both by word and example, he may edify all thofe that are under his charge, and with the flock intrufted to him arrive, at length, at eternal happiness. Thro'.

EPISTLE. Heb. ix. 11, 15.

Rethren: Chrift being come, the High-priest of the good things to come, by a more excellent and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is, not of this creation; neither by the blood of goats or of calves, but by his own blood hath once entered the holy place, having purchafed for as an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the fprinkling of the afhes of a heifer, fanctify fuch as are defiled to the cleaning of the flesh, how much more fhall the blood of Christ, who, thro' the Holy Ghoft, offered himfelf without spot to God, cleanfe our confciences from dead works, to ferve the living God? He therefore is the mediator of the new covenant: that by means of his death undergone for the cancelling the tranfgreffions under the former covenant, thofe that are called, may receive the promised eternal inheri tance thro' Christ Jesus our Lord.
