S. 525. Nr. 2942. Dieser Kalender ist mit den nöthigen Veränderungen fortgesetzt, und der von 1830 z. B. führt den Titel: Royal kalendar: and court and city register, for England, Scotland, Ireland and the colonies, for the year 1830. Lond. 8. und ist verbunden mit: The present peerage of the united kingdom, wobei ein zweiter Titel: Arms of the peers, peeresses etc. of the united kingdom. Die Abbildungen aber sind schlecht.

Nr. 2944. Dies Werk, dessen in Kupfer ge, stochener Titel des Verfassers John Prestwich Wappen zeigt, hält 279 S. Den Preis giebt Lo. III, 1499. zu 6 S. an. Nach M. 456 hat der Verfasser 1780 angekündigt: Heraldry, or a display of honor and nobility, welches aber wie es scheint, niemahls erschienen ist.

Dal, 223 führt eine erste Ausgabe von 1582 an, was aber irrig zu sein scheint, da es auf dem Titel der von 1594 bei M. 45 heißt: Nunc quarto recognita, et magna accessione post Germanicam editionem (der Francof. 1590) adaucta, wenn es nämlich mit den beiden Londner Ausgaben von 1586 und 1587 seine Richtigkeit hat. M. nennt die von 1586 die erste; sonst führt er nur noch eine

von 1600, dann Amst. 1648 (?) Amst 1659 und als die lekte vom Verfasser selbstt herausgegebene die Lond. 1607. an. Ob es mit einer Ausgabe, cum tabulis aeneis R. Vitellii. Amst. 1617. 8. die mit einem Preise von 1 Fl. 10 St. ans gesezt ist in Catalogns librorum omnis ordinis latina, aliisque doctioribus linguis conscriptorum. Prostant venales Trajecti ad Rh. in bibliopolio J. Altheer 1823. 8. p. 49, seine Richtigkeit habe, stehet dahin.

By Yorke herault (Ralph Brooke) um 1599 gedruckt. 4. 77 S. (M. 46). Lo. I, 265 giebt an: Discoverie of certain errours in (Camden's) Britannia 1594. By Yorke herault. (Lond. 1596). 4. Camden antwortete darauf in der 5ten Ausgabe seines Wers fes Lon. 1600. worin er die Fehler berichtiget hatte, in eis ner lateinischen Zuschrift: Ad lectorem. Darauf schrieb Brooke: A second discoverie of errours etc. with a reply to Mr. Camden's apology ad lectorem in his fifth edition, 1600. Beide Streitschriften mit Camden's W.itwort wurden von James Woodman neu herausgegeben unter dem Titel: A discoverie of certaine errours published in print in the much - commended Britannia, 1594, very preiudicial to the discentes and successions of the auncient nobilitie of this realme. By Ralph Brooke, Yorke herault at armes. To which are added, the learned Mr. Camden's answer to this book; and Mr. Brooke's reply. Now first published from an original manuscript in the library of John Anstis, Esq. Garter King at arms. London printed for James Woodman and Dav. Lyon. 1724. 4. 119 und 196 S. (M. 316.) Die erste Schrift von Brooke mit Camden's Antwort füllt den ersten Theil dieser Ausgabe, Brooke's zweite Echrift und ein Anhang u. s. w. den zweiten.
