Lord, our help and protector, affift us: and may our mind and body flourish again in perfect purity, and a renewal of chastity; that by this facrifice, which we have offered to thy majefty, we may be freed from all temptations. Thro'.

God, who refifteft the proud, and giveft grace to the humble, grant us the virtue of true humility, of which Chrift was the perfect pattern; that fo we may never provoke thy anger by our pride; but, being fenfible of our own nothingness, may be filled with the riches of thy grace. Thro'

God, who didit crufh the pride of our enemy by the patient fufferings of thy only Son: grant, we beseech thee, we may be truly mindful of what he fo charitably endured for us, and by his example bear all adverfities with a patient and undifturbed mind. Thro' the fame.

SECRET.

Mercifully receive, O Lord, the gifts we offer; which we with devotion prefent to thy majefty, that thou wouldst grant us the gift of patience. Thro'.

God, who turneft all things to the advantage of thofe that love thee; quicken in our hearts a lafting and lively affection of thy love; that fuch defires, as are infpired by thee, may never be defeated by the affaults of any temptation. Thro'.

God, who reneweft us to thy image both by thefe myfteries and thy precepts; perfect our fteps in thy ways, that we may truly obtain, by

this facrifice we have offered, that gift of charity, which thou haft made us hope for. Thro'.

O God, who, by thy grace, haft enriched the hearts of all thy faithful with the gifts of the Holy Ghoft: grant to fuch thy fervants, in whose behalf we addrefs thy mercy, health both of body and foul: that they may love thee with all their ftrength, and perform thy will with perfect charity. HAVE mercy, O Lord, on fuch of thy fervants, for whom we offer this facrifice of praise to thy majefty: that by these myfteries they may obtain the grace of thy heavenly bleffing, and the glory of eternal happiness. Thro'.

God of peace, the lover and preferver of charity; grant to all our enemies peace and true charity forgive them all their fins, and, by thy power, deliver us from all their wicked defigns. Thro'.

BE appeafed, O Lord, with the facrifice we offer,

and mercifully deliver us from our enemies, and grant them the pardon of all their fins. Thro'.
