S.K. Rai

S.K. Rai is the Managing Director of Hero Cycles Limited, one of the leading bicycle manufacturers in the world. He is also involved with educational and cultural organizations. He is the General Secretary and the Organizational Secretary of Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam and has been in the thick and thin of organizing many programmes.

Sunil Kant Munjal

Sunil Kant Munjal is the Joint Managing Director of Hero MotoCorp Ltd., and the Chairman of Hero Corporate Service Ltd., the corporate office for the Hero Group. He is responsible for developing growth strategies and the implementation of new business plans for the Group. He is also the Founder Chairman of BML Educorp Services, a non-for-profit university initiative by the Hero Group, and is the guiding force behind the BML Munjal University, which is playing a key role in creating a unique higher education initiative.

Mr. Munjal was the President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Trade & Industry.

He is a member of the boards of DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd., Coca Cola India Advisory Board, Bharti Foundation, the Indian School of Business at Hyderabad and Mohali. He is one of the members of the Board of Governors of IIT, Ropar, in Punjab. He also serves on the President’s Council at the University of Tokyo, one of the oldest and most revered institutions in Japan. He has been appointed by the Punjab government as the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.  He is a Member of the Advisory Board of the UK India Business Council.

He was chosen by “India Today” – India’s largest English newsmagazine, as one of the “Faces of the Millennium” for business. He has received the GlobScot Award from the Scottish Government. He has been honoured by The Royal Society of Medicine by inscribing his name on the Wall of Honour at London in recognition of his contribution to Affordable Healthcare as the President of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana. The SRM University conferred him a Doctorate of Literature. XLRI, Jamshedpur, has conferred him the “Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Social and Industrial Peace”.
