رغم المعلومات الجميلة التي قدمها الكتاب عن آليات التصوير والإخراج والجهود العملاقة التي بذلت لتقديم عمل بهذا المستوى .. لكن الكتاب كان يفتقر لما يجعله كتاباً بمعنى الكلمة حيث لم يكن يحتوي الا على مجموعة من اللقاءات مع بعض الشخصيات المؤثرة في نجاح العمل .. باختصار كان عبارة عن فيلم وثائقي ولكن بصيغة مكتوبة. This is an explanatory commentary on the characters, material,sets and everything else in the series

I'm not going to count this for my reading total because most of it is photos, but I'd recommend it to everyone as a great companion book to either the tv series or the book Game of Thrones. Beautifully illustrated, with comments by the producers, actors and George R.R. Martin, detailed introductions of each character plus family trees, an absolute joy! ( )

This was interesting, but I'd really prefer a whole book just about the costumes! ( )
